Khai Nok Island - sun bed city

Phuket's a dynamic and fast-changing place and when you've lived here for more than a decade you see a lot of changes.

I recently revisited Khai Nok Island just off Phuket's east coast, the first time in about seven years. Still a gorgeous place but the sight of hundreds of sun loungers and stripy parasols was a bit of a shock! A bit more of a challenge to frolic on the soft white sands, but we did enjoy an ice-cold beer in the shade.
